One Race-the Human Race: “Black History Celebration-

In light of this moment in our daily lives, where we have an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions that African Americans have made in the fabric of the American culture, it makes me realize how inner connected we are to each other!

Whatever negative and racist comments are being made, as a person of many ethnic expressions, I realize that this is a critical time in which we must lift up the cultural beauty and historical contributions of our rich and ancient cultures to our children throughout the world! The more exposure we have and opportunities to respect, honor and appreciate each other’s culture, history, and contributions to humanity, the more possibilities for us to realize, acknowledge and stand in support of each other as one race- the human race. I thank God not only for being my parents, but for who they were and what they stood for as individuals. I want to thank them for showing me how to honor and respect my diverse heritage, which has enriched my life and my perspective of what it means to be a citizen of the world!  We are all divine emanations of “Great Spirit”! The corruption of that divinity in us comes when we succumb to the dark shadows and step out of His sacred light! But there is always compassion, grace, and forgiveness! It has to be our choosing!

I’m telling everybody, that America just went through a hostile take over by a dynasty representing the Trilateral and Democracy is dying everyday in this country, right before our eyes!

Wake up! Get up! And for those of us that can get out!

We are being bombarded with more and more inhumane tyranny everyday! I just can’t fathom that we as literate, intelligent, critical thinking, humane citizens of the most so called greatest country in the world, are actually allowing this new substandard and corrupt government to take over our country! I am amazed that these racist ethnocentric people seem to have arisen out of the bowels of the earth, and that they are at the helm of an agenda to destroy all of the ethical and moral fiber of this country! I am watching things that are so reminiscent of a dictatorial leadership that it makes me nauseous! I am witnessing in my life-time a planned and executed coup! We had just gotten to a place where we were intentionally working on environmental sustainability and the health and welfare of our country and our global citizens! We were moving towards peace, equality and justice on a global level! We are piling stones upon our heads and making enemies around the world! America has spun off it’s axis and we are in deep trouble! We might stand by and fuse into acceptance, but the rest of the world is not going to let us take them down with us! Where are the leaders? We have to:

Stand up!

Show up!

Speak up!

United in truth and justice with compassion and truth as our calling, we will not be divided and we shall overcome this evil of greed and domination! Not on our watch! We serve a higher purpose and God!

Out of the mouth of babes!

And what did Christ profess to us: Suffer the little children unto me, and hinder them not, for such as these is the kingdom of God.

So with this in mind, I have to share a request from my four old year-gift from God honorary grandson- Celio:

Becky: Why do you need to call him baby?

Celio: I need to tell him we are in danger, and he needs to come and save us.

Becky: Ok baby! I will get his number for you!

PS: You know I am going to find a way to make that request come true!

Not Going Back!

We went to see the film, “Hidden Figures” today as a family. I am inspired! My spirit is renewed! I have hope for our future in spite of or maybe because of the stance we are in as a result of this election process! I remembered who I was! I remembered who my parents and grandparents were! We went to see the film in our own neighborhood at the Baldwin Hills Theater! I could not have seen this film in any other theater! I was home! I was among my people and even more important, I was in the midst of my elders on this plane and the heavenly plane. I could feel their blood running through my veins to the point that at times my body felt a vibration! I shouted out, “I am not going back! Been there! Done that! And that is that!” This is a film that is so timely and relevant to all people that understand and stand for justice, equality, and dignity of the human soul! We must move forward! We must remember the sacrifices that were made for us and for generations to come! This film is given to us in the most perfect time! I am excited to rise up to the challenges we will face, but I will never let anyone steal my sense of dignity, intelligence, spiritual strength, compassion and moral judgment that would cause me to accept being less than God ordained me to be! And this is what I will instill in my child and support other children and youth to do!

Tribute to my fellow Native Brothers and Sisters:

Closing of an unimaginable year and bringing in a year with hope of miracles, and transformative good will to all mankind! The most joyous memory of 2016, which touched my heart was the birth of my grand nephew-Ua-which means rain! The most heart-wrenching happening that touched my soul this year is Standing Rock! I want to make a “Tribute” to our Native Brothers and Sisters for their supreme sacrifice:

This has been the most unusual year of my life. At times it has felt like I was living in alternate reality! Tonight I found myself saying out loud that I am just tired of the world being at war! I am tired of the hatred and pain we cause each other because so many of us have lost our souls to greed and consumption of material things that are void of meaning and significance! We have a responsibility to evolve to our higher selves. We have a destiny to be who God has designed us to be! We have a responsibility to be our true essence, which is simply “love”! This new year, will bring us opportunities to speak and be “our truth”! I challenge us to seek truth! Be justice! Give love! Express compassion! Strengthen our relationship with God!

What our Native brothers and sisters are all suffering is impacting the entire planet! I had a vision of all indigenous nations taking a stand for Mother Earth. I saw this gathering praying in ritual for water! There were thousands at one site and others around the world! People could not believe the power and connection your songs and dances had with Great Spirit! From Africa to Asia there was a remembering of our blood relation and spontaneously people began to join in from everywhere! California got so much rain I thought the waters would never stop. Water levels began to rise as if the water was responding to prayers in Thanksgiving for being honored and respected.

What our Native brothers and sisters are doing is prophecy and we must stand where ever we our and raise our voices in support! This is the pivotal point in our history!! We must step into our power!

Liberty University President and conservative evangelical minister to head a task force on reforming the educational system.

So as a person on the journey to live a life demonstrating the values, ethics, and social principle of Christ, which I honestly I am trying to live my life committed to, but I don’t believe that we as a country, that was founded on the principles of freedom of religion, can afford to ascribe to a non-inclusive, biased, religious centered educational system. I am concerned about what this road is leading to and how it will impact the education of our children. It is fine to have religious based educational programs, but it is not ethical or appropriate for any religious sect to dictate the content and practices of our public school educational curriculum. We are stepping into dangerous territory in almost every facet of our country’s political, economic, educational, and judicial systems. It is time for some serious leadership to show up and rein this chaos and tyranny back in check!

We still don’t get it!

There is one God speaking to all of us! Until we really understand the mind and heart of God we will continue to rely on just our interpretations of the Bible! God is still speaking but we are not listening! He is a living God with still more wisdom, knowledge and values to teach us! God is limitless and has even more expectations for humanity! God wants us to go out into the world and do His work to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick and love and respect others as we should love and respect ourselves! Give witness and praise to and for God by our divinity that we share with all God’s children! What is transporting in the world today is not of God! The actions and agenda of our new president, is driving us away from God’s light into a vast darkness filled with lost souls! There is grace and redemption for all that has been done in the name of wealth, greed, and power!

As parents and educators:

I feel that it is important for us as educators and parents to insure that what we are teaching our students and exposing our children to, is ultimately relevant to their life experience. If what we prepare for them in terms of the content of the curriculum and how it can be connected to their daily lives, it serves a  purpose and hopefully inspires their thirst for more knowledge and supports their development academically, social-emotionally, and spiritually! This election has unleashed more fear, hatred, racism, and anxiety then I have seen since the 60’s. Educational institutions have historically been the breeding grounds for discourse, conceptual exploration, and solutions to societal problems. Educational institutions should serve as a means to reflecting and dreaming about the possibilities of who our students have the potential of evolving into that will safeguard the integrity, honesty, justice, and principles of tolerance and compassion. This is that is needed to have a functional inclusive society. We as educators have a responsibility to entice and support the imagination, creativity, proficiency, and genius that resides in the heart and soul of each of our students, just waiting to be discovered. We must offer our students an opportunity for self discovery. We must provide them with a sacred space to voice their thoughts and in that process we will also discover new aspects of our own growth not only as an educator, but as someone who has found their “work”!

1. Forgive my writing, but I am slightly emotionally drained as I get the “Breaking News”, that Betsy DeVos is selected to be the head of the Department of Education! This is a devastating blow for the educational system that serves our children in this country! We have now stepped formally into the status of being a 3rd world nation. She has absolutely no business heading this department other than to dismantle the education of children who have only public school options for literacy, socialization development, and life skills! This is part of the plan to disassemble the path to middle class status and re-establish the have and have not society. This “shock event” tactic the political gang is using is working! They are keeping us distracted with horrific acts of political terrioism while they sneak in their dirty works that will have a more ruthless affect on the American culture, economic, politics, environment, health and safety, spiritual and emotional well being! Stay awake! Stay alert!

Stay vigilant in:

Standing up!

Showing up!

Speak up!

Moving forward with truth and justice for all mankind!

We can not be lost to insanity:

Perhaps if the Republican Party was in the business of engaging in governmental affairs instead of lies, gossip, and deconstructing the Constitution, the Supreme Court, and Congress, we could be an inclusive functional government for the people and by the people in the interest of serving all of our citizens as one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. All representative political parties need to step up to the “CALL”, and participate in fulfilling the divine destiny of what could be a “great nation leading the world to peace, compassion, and equality for all of what is necessary for every human being to live a life filled with the beauty of their birthright!

My response to the Republicans-

Why are you not reining Trump in and get him under control? Why are they not in the process of negating and refusing his political Trumpettes and his horrific agenda that is destroying our country and negatively impacting the entire world, of course unless it is a country where he has business deals!

Why don’t they just worry about handling the political progress of our Constitution, security, and educational programs that can insure we continue to function as a sane, just and relevant nation that embraces ethics, integrity, morality and the elements of a righteous and compassionate humanity! We are so far behind in our evolution that we are on the verge of extinction! Wake up America! This is not elementary school student government! This is the real deal that impacts the entire world and we are being laughed at and have lost our credibility as a nation that had lost it’s mission and global status! This election has thrown us into the bowels of HELL! We better get our act together! November 8th put us in a National State crisis! Democrats must pull us out of the gutter ASAP!

You tried to get us back on hallow grounds President Obama, but you were faced with fighting the devil by yourself! You should have no:

Would have, Could have or Should have because we did not do our part! Just like the old Negro Spiritual says about how we treated Jesus-

“We didn’t know who you was”

I am going to rewrite some of the words to honor your journey through the new middle passage that divides this country between the haves and have nots. This passage divides the just from those that are filled with racism and embrace injustice. The passage that divides those that are keepers of the universe that honor and respect it as a gift from God, and those that use it and abuse it to satisfy their hunger for greed and power. The passage that divides those of us that hold on to the principles of a loving, compassionate brother and sisterhood from those that are only self serving and vengeful.

Your work is not done President Obama! God is not through with you yet! He has a higher plane of service for you since His destiny for you was and still is, to be the Peace maker for the world that is pushing for destruction! Take a reflective break alone and then with you family! Listen for His still quiet voice and He will lead you and you must follow!
